Greetings! I am breaking radio silence to let you know there is much activity afoot at Tangled Wire Studio. I am in the process of putting a new group of songs together for a forthcoming album. Like most creative pursuits, these things take time. I plan on releasing some single tracks soon, which may or may not be a part of my new release. Right now I am working om a group of about 16 songs. Some will make the cut, some won’t. As usual, I ask you keep checking back for new songs and further updates.
I have been working on cataloging the archives of live jam recordings at Tangled Wire. I am happy to announce that I will have new releases – yes plural – coming very soon. Please stay tuned for more information!
Check out my interview with Omar Willey of The Seattle Star, Omar and I had an wide ranging discussion about my music and music distribution via the Creative Commons. After you read the interview, be sure to take a look around The Seattle Star website for some entertaining reading from a variety of excellent writers.
I’ve added a couple of new songs to my collection, “Live from Tangled Wire Studios: Improvised Jams” The songs, recorded last week feature Noel Williams on keyboards, Stony Bruce on Guitar, Terry Jimmy Walters, Jr on drums and your truly on Bass. These songs were spontaneous and fun to play. As for the titles, they too were improvised at the time of our recording. Like the other material I post, they are free to download. Enjoy!
I have been lax at posting here of late. See my blog for more recent posts. I am currently working on a new batch of songs. I hope to have new material out in the not too distant future. Please check back often!
In the meantime, here’s a song I recorded a little over a month ago Live at Tangled Wire Studios. “Thank You Cleveland!” is a spontaneous jam featuring Dreaddie Girl on drums, Noel Williams playing synthesized percussion and yours truly playing bass. I am so pleased to be able to capture these unique moments in time. Moments where a group of musicians experience a mental converge and end up creating something unique. Like my other tracks, this is free to download. Enjoy!
Here’s another video I created using public domain film footage from archive.org. This time, I used footage from some 1960’s anti-drug films.
The song, “It Wasn’t Meant to Be” was from my Detours & Byways release. It features David LaVeda on slide guitar and backing vocals. If you like the song, you can download it for free using the player below.
I created this video using old public domain footage from the Internet Archive. I am
happy with the results and hopefully, you will enjoy it too.
The song, “Shop ‘Til You Drop” is from my last release, “Waiting for the Rain,” and is available for free download. Written and performed by Marwood Williams. Featuring Ron Carnell on Drums and percussion and Noel Williams on Back up vocals.
I just uploaded my new Inkster release, “Waiting for the Rain.” All the tracks on this release are either new songs, or remixes of songs I put out recently. As usual, the songs are available for free download.
I will have more on this release in the coming days, including information about some of the recordings.
Here’s a new song – part of an improvised jam, recently recorded Live at Tanlged Wire Studios. The song features Noel Williams on Vocals, Steve Roberts on Bass, Dreaddie Girl on Drums and yours truly playing guitar. As usual, the song is available for free download.
Hello everyone. I have been busy working in the studio. I have some new equipment I am working with and a new batch of songs close to being finished. My web updates have been lacking because engineering, recording, writing, mixing – takes a lot of my time and energy. It is my hope that once I finish this batch of songs, I will have more web updates.
Besides new music, I have had some interesting folks stopping by the studio to play music. Keep watching my Live From Tangled Wire Studio page for new songs. Live videos are also on the horizon.
